Hay Barn on 104 (2), Watercolour, 11 x 29

This is the second attempt to paint this barn. I think the perspective has improved in this one.

Hi: I love your art, its so simplistic, but really makes my brain want to see more...great work.
I live in New Mexico and long to live in the east again. I have found being away has squashed my enthusiasm to paint. With luck we will be moving to upstate NY and I will feel more spirited about my art.
I was born in Ontario Canada and miss the north so much. Love your art, keep up the great work.

Why, thank you, Joey. I hope you get inspired soon and don't have to wait to go North to do so. Doesn't New Mexico have those wonderful colours that Georgia O'Keefe loved to paint? Maybe looking at her work will inspire you.

When you say my work is "simplistic," I hope you mean subtle and natural.

I really like the long landscape paintings of barns, bridges in the landscape - I really think there is something lovely about the way the image is framed. This one in interesting also because of the dark colours around the edges which realy emphasize the building and give a certain darkness to the image - almost a foreboding.
