I live in rural New Brunswick which provides most of the subject matter of my paintings. I have a three-wheeled bicycle with a large basket on the back where I can store my paints, a chair and a table and anything else needed. When I am painting, I am in a world of pure concentration. My goal is to create spontaneous, balanced and authentic works of art with the hope that people who see my art will feel the same kind of pleasure that I do.
This one combines the wet juicyness of watercolor with the juicyness of what the pear was. Only the pear is such a rich dark black, I think it must be at the end way past ripe. I don't understand the title unless it is a wry reference to the surrounding colors which contrasts with the pears current condition. I love juicy watercolors and using the meaningfulness of juicyness is very artful here.

Well, I had in mind Monet's Impressionist painting, but that is far-fetched. Juicyness, I like that description better.
