Reflections of a Pier, Watercolour, 8 x 10

The differences between the top painting and the bottom one are all due to the sun. I couldn't wait until I had some shade on my porch so I took the bottom photograph when the sun was just coming up. All the yellows of the sun appear in it. Interesting.

Morning, Joyce
Te the photos of your painting is a great example of how light affects local color. Many artists just don't get it that a white barn shouldn't be painted "white" but many other colors because of light, atmosphere or reflections.

It's something that you do really well.

Thanks, Annette. I like to stare at things and see how many colours I can see!

I like both of these. Good studies.
