I live in rural New Brunswick which provides most of the subject matter of my paintings. I have a three-wheeled bicycle with a large basket on the back where I can store my paints, a chair and a table and anything else needed. When I am painting, I am in a world of pure concentration. My goal is to create spontaneous, balanced and authentic works of art with the hope that people who see my art will feel the same kind of pleasure that I do.

Sketch of Stone Bridge, Burtts Corner, Ink on Paper, 5 x 8
Nice drawing/sketch Joyce. I've not been by in awhile and it's been great to enjoy all these BC paintings...didn't realize you were a native. Also like the piece that's a header now...it's nice how you've divided it. Best for the new year.
Thanks, Clive, for the comment and visit. Yes, I grew up in the Kootneys and have sorely missed the mountains ever since. My friend, Betty, took me to her favourite vacation places that she visited when growing up in Kimberley, BC. My family never had a vehicle so I didn't even know those lovely places existed. It was so nice to see them this year.
