I live in rural New Brunswick which provides most of the subject matter of my paintings. I have a three-wheeled bicycle with a large basket on the back where I can store my paints, a chair and a table and anything else needed. When I am painting, I am in a world of pure concentration. My goal is to create spontaneous, balanced and authentic works of art with the hope that people who see my art will feel the same kind of pleasure that I do.

Mini-Painting 2 (My Mom's Rouge Compact and Lipstick, circa 1940s), Watercolour, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2
These items and my mother's three petit point pictures are the oldest objects I have of hers. They are from the 1940s. It is very nostalgic when I think of her as a young woman who was raised in poverty wanting such beautiful things.

To have something of your mom's is so special. I have an opal ring, a blue glass bowl and just a few other things. That's about it.
Sure love the flower painting above. Don't think I've heard of that.
